New York City Metro Fare Update
Effective August 6, 2023, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) implemented the following fare changes:

Students and Reduced Fare

- Reduced Fare: Eligible individuals, such as seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income New Yorkers, can apply for a reduced fare MetroCard. The reduced fare for a 30-day pass is $1.35 per ride, with a maximum of $55.20 per month.
